CANstruction is Coming to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre this Weekend!

In partnership with Star Radio Group 99.3 The Vibe, we invite you to join Stafford County Public Schools’ Learn and Serve Program for the 1st Annual Martin Luther King Day of Service Event, CANstruction to benefit the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank. CANstruction is an International Community Service Project competition to design and build colossal structures entirely out of canned foods. After the designs are built, the creations are on display to the public as a giant art exhibit and then donated to the area food bank.

The public is invited to come to the Spotsylvania Towne Center this weekend during normal operating hours to vote for your favorite CANstruction structure(s). To vote, simply bring one canned food item or $1 to the CANstruction check-in station located near the pirate ship at the food court. For each canned food item or $1 you donate, you will receive one ticket to place in the voting box in front of the structure(s) you like best. Public voting will continue through Monday Jan 21, until 2:00 pm. Official judging will take place at 3:00 and the awards ceremony will take place at 4:30.
