On Saturday, December 7, the Hard Times Café was jamming to the sounds of Swamp Trash, Freedy Fingers and Friends, FBS Rhythm and Blues Revue as the Fredericksburg Blues Society held their annual membership food and funds drive to benefit the community.
This year all food donations and a portion of the proceeds were donated to the FAFB to help the hungry of our community. The total amount of food collected was 234 pounds along with $832.86 in cash. Together these food and funds will provide 2,690 meals back to the hungry of our community. John Freund, VP of the Fredericksburg Blues Society stopped by earlier this week to personally deliver the funds collected and to see how important these donations are in helping to end hunger for our neighbors in need this holiday season.
