Paint the Town Red

LifePoint Church Paint the Town Red 2014 2014-08-04 013From July 26 – August 3, LifePoint Church members were tasked with “See a Need, Meet a Need” during the annual Paint the Town Red.  Volunteers were visible throughout the community striving to be a blessing to all within their reach.

At the food bank the generous donation of 13,046 pounds of food collected by LifePoint members would have been delayed had it not been for the generous donation by Coleman’s towing.   It seems the LifePoint truck had some trouble and needed assistance getting to the FAFB dock and Coleman’s volunteered their assistance and helped to provide the much needed transport of all this wonderful food.

Thank you to all of the LifePoint Church members, volunteers, family and friends as well as all of those from Coleman’s towing for seeing a need and going the extra mile to meet the need.  Together we can and you did!  Because of your actions 10,872 meals and household supplies will be provided to the hungry of our community.

  1. I hope you all also donated to SERVE or a food pantry that helps Stafford residents, since the FAFB doesn’t.

    • JB,

The Fredericksburg Area Food Bank serves all of Planning District 16; the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg; as well as the community of Locust Grove. We partner with 14 food pantries in Stafford County, including SERVE.

If you have any questions about what we do here at that Food Bank or how we help the community, you are more than welcome to come and speak with a member of our staff and take a tour of the food bank. You can contact our Agency & Programs Director, Mishelle Krogstad at (540) 371-7666 x 134 or at, for more information.

Thank you for your comment and for allowing us to clear up this misconception.
