Tell Obama to Preserve Hunger Programs during “Tweetup”

President Obama will take questions on jobs and the economy from Americans across the country. We urge everyone to join the discussion and help us put hunger on the national radar.

Here’s your opportunity to tell the President to keep hunger front and center – particularly in the budget debate in Congress where vital programs are in danger of being cut .

Here’s how the “Tweetup” will work.

A Twitter moderator will pose the most popular questions raised before and during the “Tweetup” to President Obama. The President will answer questions for about an hour in front of two screens that will display the conversation on Twitter.

We have joined our friends the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC) and Share Our Strength to get a question about hunger selected and you can help. Just tweet this question and help us make ending hunger a national priority:

I’d like to #askObama his plans to protect low-income safety net programs during #budget debates & work to #endhunger in US RT

Help us get our question answered. Don’t let government balance the budget on the backs of its most vulnerable citizens.
